I've come across the Reading Challenge 2015 a number of times on the internet, so I thought about it and said "Challenge accepted!" Truth be told, I've been reading a lot less books these days compared to what I was a couple of years ago. There are a number of reasons for this :
- I don't have as much free time as I did before.
- A theory that my friends and I came up with : We like stories. When we were kids, we read these stories. But as we grew up we found other formats of stories - namely, movies, television shows, plays - which were just as good as books! As a result, the number of books we read reduced significantly.
- Fanfiction. F***ing brilliant fanfiction writers regaling incredible stories about our favourite characters. Can you blame me for staying up all night reading a story about John and Sherlock, set in an alternate universe, where they're actors who star opposite each other in a film, and (obviously) fall in love? Or a story about the Marauders when they were still in Hogwarts, before Voldemort changed their lives forever? No, you can't. (The fanfics referred to are Performance In A Leading Role and The Shoebox Project. Love yourself and read them.)
- I'm kind of lazy.
- I also spend a lot of my free time sleeping.
- And on Tumblr.
It's set by Popsugar and is pretty interesting, as you can see. As I check off an item on the list, I will be updating this blog.
Here goes then!
